Privacy.
How personal information is handled when you visit this portfolio or contact me about photographic work.
1. Data controller
Nicola Calaprice, independent photographer based in Milan, Italy (VAT no. 12273910963), is the controller of personal data processed for enquiries made directly to him. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@ncalaprice.art.
2. Personal data involved
When you visit the site, the hosting and security services may handle technical data needed to deliver and protect the website, including IP address, connection time, requested resources, browser information and related technical or security logs. If you email or call me, I process the information you choose to provide, such as your name, contact details, message and any details about an assignment.
3. Purposes and legal grounds
Technical data is used to make the website available, keep it secure and troubleshoot problems (legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, where applicable). Information you send is used to reply to your enquiry and, if relevant, discuss or prepare a potential assignment (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual steps or Article 6(1)(f) for ordinary enquiries, as applicable). Certain information may also be retained to meet legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
4. Service providers and data transfers
The site is intended to be hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may process technical connection and security data. Email communications are handled through the email provider used for my professional inbox. These providers may operate internationally; any transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area are subject to the safeguards applicable to the provider and the relevant processing. The precise provider arrangements and safeguards must be checked against the live configuration before this notice is finalised.
5. No visitor analytics, advertising or profiling
I do not use Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, advertising pixels or other visitor-tracking tools on this portfolio. No contact form, social-media feed or externally hosted tracking widget is embedded in the site's own pages. A link to Instagram opens a separate service with its own privacy terms. Essential technical or security cookies may be used by the hosting infrastructure if its actual configuration requires them; this must be verified after deployment.
6. Storage periods
Messages and related details are kept for as long as reasonably needed to manage the enquiry or working relationship, and longer only where a legal obligation or a legitimate need to establish, exercise or defend a claim applies. Technical records held by infrastructure providers are subject to their applicable retention settings and policies, which must be confirmed before publication.
7. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR's requirements and exceptions, you may ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, data portability where applicable, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can exercise your rights by writing to info@ncalaprice.art. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
8. Providing information and updates
Browsing the portfolio does not require you to submit information through a form. Sending an enquiry is voluntary, but I will need a way to contact you in order to reply. This notice may be updated if the website or its service providers change.
